Dell Sheftall entered the jewelry industry in 1941, in Houston, Texas.
After working 10 years for two different firms in Houston, Beaumont and Austin, Dell and his wife Audrey Kelley Sheftall opened Sheftall Jewelers in the shadow of the University of Texas tower in Austin.
Over time, the two person first store developed into five stores in Austin, including a Cartier Boutique and a flagship store in San Antonio's North Star Mall.
During 50 plus years on Austin's "University Drag" Sheftall Jewelers served students, faculty and staff from all 50 states and throughout many foreign countries.
As Dell is fond of saying, "There is quite a contingent of "Texas Ex's" in the Hill Country. At least once a week someone visiting our Kerrville store says, You sold me this ring 20, 30, 40, or 50 years ago."
|Dell and Audrey Sheftall treasure their relationship with the University community; the students and faculty in Austin; the wonderful people of San Antonio and the Hill Country, who have trusted us for over 50 years.|
In Kerrville, Sheftall Jewelers purchased the 1890 Masonic building in 2004.
Our most recent store was opened for business on October 2, 2004 in Kerrville's Historic District.
Come see us! We want to be your jeweler.
